The Charter

Textile Institute of Pakistan is an independent degree awarding institute having its Charter from the Government of Sindh, vide Notification No. S. LEGIS:1(15)/2001 dated 21st April 2001, under THE SINDH (TEXTILE INSTITUTE OF PAKISTAN) ORDINANCE, 2001, Sindh Ordinance: No. XV of 2001.

National Textile Foundation

The Foundation was established as a Body Corporate under Society Registration Act, XXI of 1860 on October 31, 1994, It’s main objective was to establish, finance, and run Textile Institute of Pakistan and such other institutions of higher education in textiles.

The Foundation is an educational society and a non-profit organization duly certified by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP), provides the endowment fund. This fund helps Textile Institute of Pakistan support its operations, its financial assistance program as well as the faculty development program.

A Board of Governors, comprising of leading industrialists from the textile sector, administers the affairs of the Foundation.

I owe a significant part of my professional success to my alma mater, the Textile Institute of Pakistan, where I earned my BSC Hons in Textile Sciences. The knowledge and skills I acquired during my time at TIP laid the foundation for my rapid career growth. The institute’s strong industry connections and emphasis on practical learning provided me with a unique edge in the job market.
Within a short span, I achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the youngest General Manager of Marketing in the industry at just 28 years old. Today, as a Director of Marketing for the past five years, I continue to excel in my field, leveraging the expertise and confidence instilled in me by my education at TIP.

This support system was instrumental as I led organizations in C-level leadership roles at a very young age, gaining experiences that would have been unimaginable without the foundation laid by TIP. Eventually, this journey led to the founding of Fruit of Sustainability, Pakistan’s first tech company specializing in digital social and environmental due diligence SaaS platforms which is set to revolutionize the Textiles and Apparel Industry in Pakistan. The entire journey is deeply and profoundly attributed to TIP.
