Dr. Umair Ahmed Siddiqui

Umair Ahmed Siddiqui holds a Ph.D. in Fashion Designing from the University of Ulsan, South Korea. He is a versatile and accomplished TIP alumnus with over 22 years of experience in sustainable textile and fashion design, product development, merchandising, and academic leadership. He has led academic departments, coordinated programs, developed curricula, and served as a faculty member at multiple institutions. His professional experience spans designing sustainable fashion, apparels, sports and home textile collections, brand management, consulting for national and international projects, and conducting workshops and seminars. He is also an accomplished art critic and juror, with published research and contributions to international fashion and textile journals.

Position: Assistant Professor – Chemistry / Environmental Health Specialist

Dr. Muhammad Kamran Khan holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Environment) from the University of Karachi, with research on chemical speciation in water and air. He is a multi-skilled professional with expertise in environmental chemistry, air and water quality, occupational health and solid waste management. At TIP, he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, supervises research projects, and contributes to curriculum development. His work spans air pollution monitoring, chemical exposure assessment, GIS-based risk analysis, GHG emissions, renewable energy, and climate change studies. He has extensive publications in peer-reviewed journals and actively participates in national and international conferences on environmental and public health.

Her teaching and leadership emphasize research-led design, curriculum development, and student–industry collaboration through projects with leading textile firms and exhibitions such as TEXPO and Karachi Biennale. A former product development manager and practicing designer, Saadia’s work bridges creative research and applied design. Her publications and international presentations reflect her focus on sustainability, cultural heritage, and contemporary textile innovation.

He has founded multiple companies across diverse sectors and brings practical business experience to the classroom. At TIP, he teaches courses including Garment Technology, Entrepreneurship, Apparel Manufacturing, Digital Marketing, and E-Commerce, while developing curricula and mentoring students. His experience spans program coordination, brand management, and start-up consulting, enabling students to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical industry insights.

Brings extensive expertise in woven, printed, and embroidered textiles with a focus on creative innovation and design leadership.

She teaches core studio and theory courses including Print Design, Textile Embellishment, and Design History, inspiring students to merge design innovation with cultural and sustainable relevance. Known for her strong command of digital design tools and visual storytelling, she also contributes to institutional projects that blend creativity with modern communication design.
